Paul Nation is the Managing Director of APAC and Overseas business at Xiamen Aircraft Leasing Co., Ltd (XMAL) and its recently formed X-Aero subsidiary responsible for lease return and end of life solutions. Paul has been instrumental in developing the Chinese market to accept the use of USM material and a speaker at several Chinese and Overseas aircraft end of life conferences.

Paul has lived and worked in mainland China and Asia for more than twenty years undertaking various aircraft asset management, MRO, M and A, and new business start up activities whilst developing and managing talented teams of sales, engineering and project management professionals. Paul has a Diploma in Aircraft Engineering, Degree in Aerospace Management and a graduate of the Topez, and Huthwaite International Business schools. Paul holds FAA Engineering and Pilot licenses, and is a regular attendee at International aerospace conferences and contributor to trade publications.

Prior to joining XMAL, Paul was Vice President Asia for a USA based provider of Used Serviceable Material (USM) and responsible for aircraft, engine acquisitions and the sale and distribution of USM within the Region.
